Coconut oil and general sickness!

Of course, we use coconut oil for all sorts of illness from bug bites to helping digestion. However, have you thought of using coconut oil for just when you are feeling a little out of sorts? You can even use coconut oil if are nauseous.

At the first sign of any illness take a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil internally. Let's say you are nauseous or vomiting and can't stomach anything. Apply coconut oil topically. The MCTs in coconut oil allow it to be easily absorbed into your skin allowing it to begin the healing process or be a carrier to medicine that will treat the problem.

Because coconut oil is so easily absorbed into the skin, it can get into the bloodstream quickly and begin working immediately. You would probably be surprised to know that this is precisely the reason it has been used in topical pain patches.

And guess what, if you are sick but can still eat, why not take coconut oil internally and apply externally? You are giving your body a double dose of healing!
