Coconut Oil and Sunburns
Okay, a little late in the season...but use this information the next time you go on vacation (just make sure and bring along your coconut oil)!
You know when you stay out in the sun t oo long and you get an awful burn -- you know, where your skin is beet red?
The next time this happens, try a little coconut oil on your burn. within a few minutes you will start to feel some relief. Within a half of an hour, you will be so grateful you applied coconut oil to your burn. Not only will the pain disappear but you will forget all about your sunburn because it will not longer be red after you have applied coconut oil to it! Unbelievable.
I will not ever leave for vacation without the coconut oil. I can't tell you how many times I was on vacation and got a nasty sunburn within the first 48 hours. I spent the rest of the vacation under an umbrella or in pain!
Today when I burned my skin with a hot pan, I should have used coconut oil instead of aloe vera. It probably wouldn't hurt now or leave a scar later.
