Coconut oil and cleaning??!!
Have you thought of coconut oil as a cleaner???
We have stone flooring in our kitchen. I have noticed that somehow, dishwasher soap is being splattered on the flooring and we can't seem to get it cleaned up. We will mop it up and it looks like it is gone but when the floor dries, the stain returns. My sister-in-law did a test with coconut oil. She cleaned one tile with traditional cleaners and one tile with coconut oil. When the tiles both dried, the tile that she cleaned with coconut oil had no remaining dishwasher soap. The tile cleaned with other cleaners still had some lingering stains.
Now, the tile cleaned with coconut oil dried a little darker (the coconut oil presumably seeped into the tile). However, our tiles are all a little different version of terra cotta so it blends in fine.
Pretty neat, huh?
