Coconut oil and fat!
There is a huge misconception that coconut oil makes you fat. Weight loss is such a prominent issue (at least it is with me) that we just can't believe it could possibly be true. I can't tell you how many people raise up their eyebrows at me when I mention coconut oil.
Other oils will make you fat with regular consumption. Coconut oil will not. Why? Coconut oil is quickly turned into energy and therefore it does not get stored in your fat cells. It is a saturated fat but the difference is in the chemical makeup of coconut oil.
Coconut oil is made up of Medium Chain Fatty Acids. The other fattening and artery-clogging oils are made up of Long Chain Fatty Acids. The smaller chain allows coconut oil to be absorbed quicker and converted to energy more efficiently.
Taking coconut oil (just a few tablespoons a day divided up) is a great way to stay lean and healthy.
